ABOUT EDGEOPTIC

The screen can go dark.
The story should not.

We approach security recording from the recovery side: what will still be available when the room, the workstation or the network is no longer there?

OUR APPROACH

Recording is only useful
if you can recover it.

That principle shapes the EdgeOptic architecture. A dedicated recorder captures locally. Protected storage resists physical exposure. A separate archive provides a recovery path beyond the original equipment.

We draw a clear line between a device’s resistance and a system’s resilience. Neither an intact enclosure nor a transfer request proves that a complete recording is available. Recovery depends on checking the evidence.

ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES

Separate the failure domains.

The recorder, workstation and remote archive have distinct responsibilities. Design and assess them separately.

State the limits.

Exposure, installation, power and connectivity matter. No system is improved by a promise of indestructibility.

Keep recovery practical.

Document the hardware. Preserve the receipts. Give future operators a clear path back to the record.
